Today, this philosophy is applied to the entire production process. From the growing of the grapes through to winemaking, ageing, and sales, we constantly strive for quality and excellence.

Mommessin’s partnerships with winegrowers are based on strong values that respect both the vines and Nature.
The effort that the hardworking and inventive winegrowers put into this unique terroir contributes to the full expression of the Gamay grape and to the affirmation of a veritable Beaujolais terroir.
Mommessin uses environmentally friendly growing methods and limits yields through green harvest, pruning, and disbudding.

Furthermore, we use small crates to protect the grapes during harvesting, sort the grapes by hand at the winery, perform punching of the cap, and even work in accordance with the lunar calendar.
