Origins

The grapes for this “Terres de Gamay” blend were harvested from different selected terroirs of France (very diverse terroirs, all from granite soils), in Beaujolais and Comté Tolosan in the southwest. They were then vinified and blended together in order to obtain this very beautiful expression of the Mommessin style. A touch of Syrah was added to the whole to enhance the expression fruity and balanced Gamay Noir.

Vinification and maturing

Grapes are vinified according to the Beaujolais method, with a semi-carbonic maceration. Aging in vats.

Vintage : 2025

The 2025 Gamay vintage tells a story of contrasts. After a wet and demanding spring, the vines faced a hot, sometimes scorching summer, significantly reducing yields while concentrating the grapes. In Beaujolais, despite these challenges, the harvest shows excellent ripeness, producing precise, fruity, and well-balanced wines where freshness and structure coexist harmoniously. In the South-West of France, the August heat impacted the vineyards, leading to low volumes but also deeply coloured, vibrant juices.. In the end, 2025 stands out as a vintage with strong character: rare in quantity, yet generous in fruit expression and true to its terroirs.
